I don't always like playing games at baby showers. Sometimes, though, its necessary as you have a bunch of people thrown together who all know the mother-to-be differently. Here are some fun games to play:
1. Match country name to top boy/girl names of the past year
If you need to re-create this game using future years, try searching google for some lists of top international names. Many of the top baby name sites have a list they come out with.
2. "Headbandz" -style game (everyone tapes pic to their head, and has to ask questions of other players to figure out "who" is on their forehead)
3. "Loaded Questions"-style game; everyone writes answers to a fun question, one person reads the answers without disclosing who wrote them, and the mother-to-be decides which answer she likes best! THIS GAME IS A TOTAL BLAST :)
Fun questions include:
*What would be the most tacky theme for ______'s new nursery?
*What song should __________ include on her labor playlist to keep herself "in the zone"?
*Give __________'s baby a "celebrity"-style name
*What is the most annoying thing to say to someone as pregnant as ________?
*What would be the least helpful item for ________ to pack in her hospital bag?
DIY BABY SHOWER GIFT IDEAS
Teething necklace (for mom) These are cute, washable necklaces mom can wear that baby can chew on safely. Because they are covered in cloth, any large amount of drool doesn't drip all over you :)

*the easiest cloth to use is NOT a cute cotton print. Tying knots in that stuff can be done but it is not easy! Try using something more slippery if you can find a print you like :)
Leg Warmers. I love these because sometimes pants over onesies are a total pain (especially when your baby hates being changed). You can make them from knee-length socks... target has some awesome sales on super-cute socks when they are transitioning to warmer weather stuff.
